Asian RPET: Prices Mixed amid Continued Drop in EU Inquiries / Traders put EU inquiries on hold and buyers prioritize RecyClass / Bottlebale feedstock Prices Remain High in SE Asia

FOB Southeast Asia recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate prices in the week ending Nov. 13 were mixed, buoyed by Asian and US demands as European inquiries dropped dramatically. PET bottle bale costs are still high. R-PET flakes prices were stable, supported by mostly stable offers and continued shipments to Asia and the US. R-PET Pellets prices were softened because of lower offers and weaker demands. Multiple trade sources reported a slowdown of flake exports into Europe as more customers are now requiring R-PET materials that are RecyClass certified. A European flakes trader stated that "EU buyers are demanding Recyclass, especially big brands." Sources say that it's becoming harder for Asian suppliers to sell into the EU, as well as any other suppliers who don't have RecyClass certification. A SE Asian flake trader...
