FOB Southeast Asia R-PET prices held steady on a daily basis and a weekly basis. Food-grade pellets were stable but weakened due to a weakening of demand and high feedstock costs. Sources on the market reported that there were ongoing discussions and deals for R-PET pellets and flakes with buyers from Europe, the US, and Asia, as the East-West arbitration remained open. However, the market demand seemed to be softening. R-PET pellet and flake offers have largely remained the same this week. However, sources are closely monitoring virgin PET prices which, over the last two months, have fallen below R-PET flakes.
