Reforming Spread at a Four-Month Low/ Thailand's naphtha imports increased 192% in April

Market sources reported that the Asian naphtha markets remained stable on May 28, as end users stepped in to meet first-half requirements for July amid low olefin margins. In mid-morning Asian trading on May 27, brokers pinned the front-month Mean of Japan Naphtha Swaps time spread for June-July at $8/mt, down 25 cents/mt compared to the previous close. The reforming spread had reached a four-month low due to the weakening of gasoline. Market sources reported that regional gasoline demand was weak, despite the expectation of higher demand because of the US summer driving period. At the Asian close on May 27, the key Singapore reforming differential -- the difference between Singapore's 92RON gasoline and Singapore's naphtha-derived gasoline, which is particularly important to gasoline blenders -- shrank by $7.82/b or 30.05...
