Trading activity on the Asian recycled high-density polyethylene market was hampered by a lack of buying enthusiasm in the week ending August 27. The price of recycled HDPE natural film remained stable at $700/mt, FOB Southeast Asia, despite weak demand. Meanwhile the price for recycled HDPE blow molding pellets rose $10/mt from the previous week to $570/mt, FOB Southeast Asia on Aug. 28, despite tight supply. The trading activity was muted throughout the week, as buyers took a wait-and see approach due to geopolitical instabilities and high freight costs. The demand in markets such as China and India remained lukewarm. The US domestic market is reportedly picking up, but the demand for imported goods remains weak. In Mexico and the US prices are high, and cargoes may be transported domestically....
