The Asian market for recycled high density polyethylene was stable during the week ending Nov. 20, despite unchanged fundamentals in demand and supply. On Nov. 20, recycled high density polyethylene black blowmolding granules were stable at $565/mt, while recycled HDPE natural film was unchanged week-on-week at $745/mt. The demand was heard to be weakening because of the appreciation of US dollars against several currencies in Asia. This has driven up import prices, and affected the demand. Sources said that this hasn't yet translated into significant changes in prices on the market.
