Several market sources reported that the price of recycled PET in Southeast Asia, India and Europe fell during the week ending May 29. The demand was affected by higher freight rates between Asia & Europe. FOB SEA recycled PET clear flake and premium-grade flakes were down $10/mt from the previous week, but unchanged for the day. They are now $830/mt & $920/mt respectively. FOB SEA pellets of food grade were down $10/mt from the previous week, but unchanged for the day. They are now $1230/mt. FOB India clear flake with PVC content below 30 ppm was assessed at $895/mt, down $5/mt from the previous week.
