recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate (R-PET) prices fell week over week from May
3, as the demand for R-PET flakes FOB india was assessed at $905/mt. This is
$10/mt less than last week. The
lack of demand in Southeast Asia has continued to affect seller sentiment. A
weak virgin PET market, coupled with a lackluster price recovery at export
destinations, are limiting R-PET's sales. This
is particularly true for recyclers who offer non-premium material, which can be
replaced more easily by virgin material. FOB
