Discussions in Asia led to a stable price for recycled polyethylene-terephthalate during the week ending February 26. Sources said that demand in Asia was still weak due to the cheapness of virgin material. Sources said that export demand was low to Europe, but stable to the US. A trader reported that the US was requesting R-PET pellets, flakes and bottle bales because of the uncertainty surrounding the US-Mexico relationship.
