India Recycled Pet: Prices remain stable despite unchanged market fundamentals / Bottle bale prices remain stable / EU Traceability Certification Heard to Have Been Suspended in Q4 of 2024 - Jan 30, 2025

R-PET pellets of food grade were priced at $1,350/mt, FOB India, in the same time period. Both prices are unchanged from the previous week and day. The local recyclers were optimistic about the demand for both pellets and flakes, indicating that both domestic and export demand was strong. Bale prices remained around Rupees 50/kg and above. Recycling companies remained confident in the lead-up to April's EPR deadline that the 30% minimum PET content would remain the same as planned. RecyClass has temporarily suspended issuing new Recycling Process Certificates for the module A1 (food contact) to companies outside of the EU27+3 countries (UK, Switzerland and Norway).
