The Asian market for low density polyethylene remained stable in the week ending Nov. 20, despite a lack of trading. On Nov. 20, Asian recycled low density Polyethylene natural film Pellets were stable for the week at $735/mt F.O.B. Southeast Asia. Sources say there's been a decrease in US domestic scrap consumption, which has allowed more to be shipped. Overall supply is still tight and Southeast Asia recyclers are having difficulty obtaining good quality scrap. The demand for scrap remains low during the slow-down season at year's end. After the US elections, buyers are taking a wait-and see stance to monitor any policy developments.
