The Asian market for low density polyethylene prices held steady in the week ending Nov. 20, despite muted trading. On Nov. 20, Asian recycled low-density polyethylenenatural film Pellets were stable for the week at $735/mt FBO SoutheastAsia. Sources say there has been a slowdown in US domestic scrap consumption, which allows more to be exported. Overall supply is still tight and recyclers are having difficulty obtaining good quality scrap material in Southeast Asia. Demand continues to be slow during the end-of-year lull season. After the US elections, buyers are taking a wait-and see stance to monitor any policy changes. In virgin markets, LDPE film prices were stable due to unchanged fundamentals in demand and supply.
