As demand and supply fundamentals remained stable, the Asia recycled low density plastic market remained steady in the week ending June 12. Asian R-LDPE Natural Film Pellets stable for the week at $800/mt F.O.B. Southeast Asia, June 12.Supply of scrap material was tight and prices remained high. This led to slimmer profit margins for producers. The rising freight rates and the lack of containers continue to affect producers and recyclers. We placed orders last month for scrap supplies from the US, but we have yet to receive any containers. A trader said that it used to take a week or less to get a shipment. According to sources, the market is expected to soften even more in June because of the traditionally off-peak period.
