The market for recycled low density polyethylene continued to be under pressure from a weak demand throughout the week ending August 21. Asian recycled low density Polyethylene natural film Pellets were down $10/mt from the previous week to $780/mt F.O.B. Southeast Asia on August 21. Sources said that despite the freight being heard easing, buyers are still waiting and watching. Singapore-India freight costs were reported at $2,000 to $2200 per 40-foot container compared to the $2,300 to 2,700 heard a week earlier.
