The recycled low density Polyethylene market was quiet in the week ending October 2, as tight supplies continued to drive prices higher. On Oct. 2, Asian recycled low density Polyethylene natural film Pellets were stable from week to week at $740/mt F.O.B. Southeast Asia. Sources say that the demand for RLDPE is stable, and they anticipate an increase due to the peak season for agricultural films. On the supply side, however, it continues to be difficult for recyclers to buy feedstocks at a profit in SE Asia. "The world petrochemical capacity, especially in China, is increasing. Prime materials are preferred by brands because they are more cost-effective and have better mechanical and chemical properties.
