In the week leading up to the 3rd of July, buyers remained on the sidelines due to uncertain shipping conditions and rising freight rates. On July 3, the price of Asian recycled LDPE film pellets remained stable for the week, at $800/mt F.O.B. Southeast Asia. The demand for recycled PE imports from India and the US remained lukewarm throughout the week. This week, the US is expected to have a thin trading due to the Fourth of Jul holiday. End-users are also weighing down on their buying appetites due to the high freight costs. Many have adopted a wait and see attitude. "Many customers cannot accept [high freight] prices.
