In a week of thin trading, the Asian market for recycled low density polyethylene remained stable. The price of recycled high density polyethylene black blow molding pellets remained unchanged at $570/mt for the week ending August 14. A SE Asian recycler said, "The market remains bad. Demand seems to have gotten worse from last week. But there are still inquiries from our customers." The Chinese and Indian markets were slow to respond this week due to a bearish mood. Sources said that the prices were supported by a tight scrap supply coming from Europe and America, as well high freight costs.
