In Asia, the market for recycled low density polyethylene was stable during the week ending October 23, as a tight scrap supply was balanced by a weak demand. Asian recycled low-density polyethylene natural film Pellets were stable for the week on October 23 at $745/mt F.O.B. Southeast Asia. Sources said that despite more inquiries after the Chinese Golden Week Holiday there was no improvement in demand or prices. A trader said, "The market is the same...demand remains stable and there's been no pickup." Recycling companies in Southeast Asia continue to face a problem in securing high-quality scrap, due to the strong US demand for scrap, which is limiting exports.
