Asian Recycled LLDPE: Stable despite unchanged fundamentals / No change in demand or supply / Scrap supply from US eases

The Asian low-density recycled polyethylene market remained largely stable during the week ending February 12 due to unchanged fundamentals in demand and supply. On February 12, Asian recycled LDPE film was down $5/mt from the previous week to $750/mt F.O.B. Southeast Asia. The US dollar's appreciation against Southeast Asian currencies has caused prices to soften in some countries, such as Malaysia and Indonesia. Sources said that neither the supply nor demand has changed significantly. The US scrap supply was also heard to be easing, and the freight rates were also stabilised.
