The Asian market for recycled high density polyethylene was quiet during the week of Jan. 28, due to regional holidays. The price of recycled HDPE film pellets remained stable at $755/mt, FOB Southeast Asia on Jan. 28. HDPE black blowmolding remained stable at $575/mt, FOB Southeast Asia. Due to the Lunar New Year holiday, which runs from January 28 to February 3, China's buying appetite is weak. Restocking was minimal. The demand in India was stable despite a slight increase over the past two weeks. This is due to the tight supply on virgin markets as a result of several plant maintenances.
