Asian Recycled LLDPE: Little change amid stable demand and supply / Thin trading when sources have sufficient inventories / Demand slowing before the festive season

In the week ending Dec. 18, there were few changes on the recycled low density polyethylene (RLDPE) market due to stable fundamentals in terms of demand and supply. Asian recycled low-density polyethylene natural film Pellets were stable for the week at $730/mt F.O.B. Southeast Asia, on Dec.18. Sources said the market was relatively quiet throughout the week, and that end-users weren't in a hurry to buy cargoes. Many remained on the sidelines, watching any future developments in trade policy. Demand was declining ahead of the holiday season. Supply was stable. On virgin markets, LDPE was down $10/mt from the previous week to $1,140/mt CIF SE Asia, amid weak demand. Trading activity was low as end-users had sufficient coverage for the short term.
