Asian Recycled LLDPE: Falling amid weak demand / Domestic demand in the US increases / Demand in Asia remains slow

In the week ending August 28, Asian recycled low density plastics market declined due to weak demand. On August 28, Asian recycled low-density polyethylene natural film Pellets were down $10/mt from the previous week to $770/mt F.O.B. Southeast Asia. According to sources, domestic demand for US-made products has increased due to the increasing pressure on brands and retailers to meet sustainability commitments. This has not translated to an increase in imports, as recyclers and traders from Asia struggle to make deals for exporting into the US market.
