Weak demand pressured prices downwards in the Asia recycledlow-density polyethylene market across the week to Sept 11.Asian recycled low-density polyethylenenatural film pellets down $10/mt on the week at $760/mt FOBSoutheast Asia on Sept 11.Demand continued to weaken and the market was bearish,with buyers keeping to the sidelines, said sources.Sourcing good quality scrap continues to be a challenge formany recyclers. "The very good quality is difficult to get, so there is moresorting and processing to be done on our end," said anIndonesian recycler who sources scrap domestically.In the virgin markets, prices of LLDPE film remained stableweek on week at $970/mt CFR Southeast Asia amid few offersheard and thin trading. Buying appetite continued to be weak andconverters were not in a rush to procure cargoes due to sufficientinventory levels, sources said.
