Asian recycled LDPE: prices stable as demand and supply fundamentals remain unchanged / Tight scrap supply supports price / Thin trading in virgin markets

According to sources, the price of Asian recycled low density plastic remained stable in the week ending Nov. 6. The fundamentals of demand and supply were unchanged. Asian recycled LDPE film pellets were stable at $745/mt F.O.B. Southeast Asia. Market sources reported that prices were supported by tight scrap supplies and a sluggish market. Trading activity on virgin markets was low, and prices were stable in China. Southeast Asia prices increased slightly, with higher offers, especially in Vietnam. LDPE film CFR Far East Asia was stable at $1140/mt in November 6, while CFR Southeast Asia marked increased $10/mt from the previous week to $1180/mt.
