of Asian high density recycled polyethylene remained stable during the week
ending March 8, due to thin trade. A source claimed that most of the
recycling was done locally as there was little trading. As their final
product customers in Europe desired a recycled component, some Vietnamese
converters were importing plastic bales. Some traders claimed that there
wasn't enough traceability for recycled content. Some traders suggested
that some bales of good quality with stronger odors may have been declared
under the prime HSC code in customs declaration to avoid being
checked. Sources said that the outlook for recycled polymers is at best a
