Asian Recycled HDPE: Prices stable despite unchanged demand-supply fundamentals / Global scrap supply eases / Weak demand continues pressure on prices

In Asia, the high density polyethylene (HDPE) market remained stable in the week ending November 27 due to unchanged fundamentals of demand and supply. On Nov. 27, recycled HDPE natural film was unchanged on the previous week at $745/mt FOM Southeast Asia, while recycled black blow molding pellets were stable at $565/mt FOM Southeast Asia. Sources said that, despite a slight increase in global scrap supplies from the US and UK due to the end-of-year season, a weak demand is continuing to push prices down.
