In Asia, the recycled high density polyethylene market trended downwards in the week ending June 12, due to a weakening of demand. R-HDPE Natural Film down $10/mt from the previous week at $740/mtFOB Southeast Asia. R-HDPE Black Blowmolding Pellets was assessed at $600/mtFOB Southeast Asia on June 12th. Sources said that the supply of HDPE scrap remained stable while the demand was weakening because the summer off-peak period is approaching. One trader spoke of lower prices in the market, as suppliers tried to sell their goods. Another supplier said that the export demand for recycledHD grades is the lowest of all recycledPE grades.
