The Asia recycled high-density polyethylene market was stable in the week ending June 19, despite thin trading. The recycled high density polyethylene natural film remained stable at $740/mt FOB Southeast Asia on June 19, while recycled HDPE blow molding pellets remained unchanged at $600/mt FOB Southeast Asia. Sources said that HDPE demand has been softening throughout the week, but this hasn't translated into firm price changes yet. The producer said that the domestic demand for recycled PE is steady, but export demand is low, likely because of the high shipping rates. Sources said that prices were softening because of the abundance of supply.
