Asian Recycled HDPE: Natural Film Demand Weak / End-users prefer virgin PE / Supply from Europe and Australia

The demand for recycled HDPE natural film was weak during the week ending April 17, due to low virgin PE prices. This led end-users and buyers to prefer virgin PE to recycled PE. On April 17, recycled HDPE natural films were down $10/mt on the week to $750/mt. CFR Far East Asia film grade high density PE was $945/mt, CFR Southeast Asia film grade high densityPE was $1,000/mt. Traders said that demand for recycled HDPE black was higher than natural film, at $60/mt.
