Trading continued to be muted in the Asian recycled highdensity polyethylene market in the week ended Feb. 5 as market participants were still returning from the Lunar New Year holidays. recycled HDPE natural film pellets stable week over week at $755/mt FOB Southeast Asia on Feb. 5, while HDPE black blowmolding pellets were also assessed stable week over week at $575/mt FOB Southeast Asia. Sources were adopting a cautious stance while monitoring the unfolding trade situation between the US and China. On Feb. 4, the US implemented 10% tariffs on Chinese imports. In turn, China imposed tariffs of 10% on US imports, such as crude oil and farm equipment, and 15 percent on US coal and liquefied natural gas (LNG).
