Prices in the recycled high density polyethylene markettrended downwards amid weak demand across the week toSept. 11.Recycled high density polyethylene naturalfilm down $10/mt on the week at $690/mt FOB SoutheastAsia while recycled HDPE black blow molding pellets was alsodown $10/mt on the week at $560/mt FOB Southeast AsiaSept. 11.Demand continued to weaken, with recyclers struggling witheroding profit margins. The only source of optimism that couldhelp support prices and trading activity in the near term is thesoftening of shipping rates, said sources.For instance, freight costs from Japan to India are nownearly half for a 40-foot container compared with July, a marketsource said.
