FOB Southeast Asia recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate prices were steady on the day, but slightly firmed in the week ending Oct. 2. This was due to rising virgin PET prices supported by higher upstream costs. Despite a growing gap between buyer's and sellers expectations, the FOB Southeast Asia recycled prices remained stable. As the East-West Arbitrage continues, trade sources report ongoing discussions and deals for R-PET pellets and flakes with buyers from Europe, the US and Asia.
