- PX slips $4-5/mt- China MX inventory shrinks

Asian isomer-grade mixedxylene fell $5/mt
on the day to $955/mt FOB Korea at $978/mt CRUED OIL Unv1. On March 9, upstream
markets were sliding again with upstream prices and Crude Oil futures
falling again. The
yuan price fell $4/mt day-on-day on March 9, and was at $1,031.50/mt CFR
unv1/China at the close. This is a drop of about $4-5/mt. The yuan
price has not changed despite the drop in crude oil and naphtha, according to
Northeast Asian traders. CPC's April tender for 10,000mt of isomer MX was
awarded to a FOB Korea trader for the month of loading, plus $1-$5/mt. Sources
indicated that the cargo would likely be shipped directly to the US.
