Asian isomer grade mixed xylenes increased $6/mt between April 12 and April 15 to $973/mt at FOB Korea. They also rose $989/mt at CFR Unv1 on April 15 as well as $970/mt at CFR China. This followed the firmer paraxylene which rose $7.16/mt in that same period of time to $1,054.83/mt at CFR Unv1/China. There were May offers and bids in the MX FOB Korea Market, but no deals were concluded that day. On April 15, the domestic China ex tank assessment was increased by Yuan 88.33/mt to Yuan 7,885/mt or $954/mt based on import parity. May ex-tank assessment was Yuan 7,895/mt or $955.25/mt. Customs data from April 15 show that South Korea exported isomer MX totaling 116,638mt in March. This was an 81.2% increase over February. A whopping 49.205mt...
