Asian isomer grade mixed xylene increased $4/mt on April 29, from $986/mt at FOB Korea to $1,002/mt at CFR Unv1, and $980/mt at CFR China. Bids for cargoes loading in June continued upward, with sellers appearing unwilling to sell, perhaps due the rising prices. A trader explained that traders still want to ship gasoline blendstocks like MX from Asia into the US to be blended with gasoline. The Asian MX market on April 29 was mixed, with the Chinese domestic MX market being down significantly since April 26. On April 29, the domestic China ex tank assessment was down Yuan 111.62/mt compared to April 26, or $927.2/mt based on import parity.
