Asian isomer grade mixed xylene fell again by $1/mt per day in the week that began on May 6, to $951/mt at FOB Korea; $967/mt at CFR Unv1; and $944/mt at CFR China, on May 9, amid a more pessimistic outlook for gasoline as well as recent narrowing of gasoline margins. China announced export quotas of clean oil products, including gasoline, jet fuel, gasoil and diesel, at 14 million mt, up 7% from the previous batch. Spread between RON 92 fuel FOB Singapore and ICE Brent crude futures for the current front-month, July, fell 30% on April 30, from $12.33/barrel, to $8.63/b, on May 8.
