The Asian polyvinyl chloride price was flat or $15/mt down on the previous week. CFR China assessment was down, while other markers were unchanged. This is due to a tepid demand in the region and thin market discussion. At the close of the Asian market on July 3, the CFR Southeast Asia indicator was unchanged at $835/mt and the PVC CFR China mark was $15/mt down on the previous week. July supplies are likely to be sold out. Participants on the market have noted that arbitrage flows may be open due to the lower US-India rates than those of South Korea - India and Taiwan - India, but the US will need an extension of the Bureau of India Standard certification to export PVC to India.
