India's PVC prices stable despite unchanged discussion levels / PVC demand is moderate / Trade able indicators steady

Prices in the Indian polyvinyl-chloride market were unchanged for the week ending Jan. 22. There was no change in fundamentals of demand and supply. Sources say that buyers have shown interest in the new $760/mt price level and tradable indicators were also set at $760/mt throughout the week. Major domestic producers said that the current import price of $760/mt was workable. They were heard to offer $765/mt for immediate deliveries. A second domestic producer shared similar views: "The import tradeable level for standard PVC is stable at $760/mt for the moment." Another trader said that the market might gradually firm up with budget announcements regarding infrastructure and irrigation.
