India's PVC prices stable despite unchanged fundamentals / Demand for is gradually increasing / Prices increase in adjacent markets - Sep 09, 2024

In the week ending Sept. 4, the downward trend in India PVC market stopped. Producers reported buying enquiries and deals on new offers made during the week. Major suppliers reduced their prices by around $110/mt compared to the previous price due to persistently low demand and declining discussion levels. Sources stated that the $800/mt offer level was close to what market participants expected. Participants in the trade said that there were fewer bids and the market fundamentals remained unchanged from last week. A supplier from abroad noted that their allocation of $800/mt for India is sold out. The PVC market is stable in India for the moment, according to a domestic producer.
