Asian PVC prices mostly stable in the week following release of Sep initial offers / Views on Sep Initial Offers Divided / CFR India falls $10/mt - Sep 02, 2024

The price of polyvinyl acetate in Asia was stable for the week following the initial September offers. Market participants had differing opinions. The CFR China and CFR Southeast Asia markers were both $740/mt as of the Asian close on August 28. Both were stable for the week. Sources said that initial offers for September were down across the board compared to the previous month. CFR India's offer was $110/mt lower at $800/mt. CFR China's was $50/mt lower at $780/mt. CFR Southeast Asia offered a $70/mt decrease at $805/mt. FOB Taiwan offered a $70/mt reduction at $705/mt. Market participants had mixed opinions about the initial CFR China offer.
