Asian PVC prices fall by $5-$10/mt following January offers / New Jan offers lower by $20-$25/mt as compared to Dec / Trading restricted before India antidumping announcement

Polyvinyl Chloride prices in Asia continued to fall Dec. 18 after new offers for January came out at a lower price of $20-$25/mt than a month ago. CFR China PVC was down $10/mt from a week earlier to $740/mt on Dec. 18. CFR Southeast Asia PVC was $5/mt less at $750/mt in the same time period. According to market sources, the initial offers for CFR China and CFR Southeast Asia fell by $20/mt each from a previous month to $740/mt and $770/mt, respectively. Sources said that CFR India offers fell by $25/mt since October, to $785/mt. The Asian PVC market remained sluggish as the Chinese property market remains weak.
