Asian PVC: Stable to $15/mt lower after fresh Mayoffers / Demand slows as prices fall by $30/mt in May / China PVC run seen at 75% in May

Market sources say that some producers are selling at fresh offer levels, but are struggling to sell monthly volumes despite a 30%/mt price drop. Sources said that the Asian PVC market may continue to fall. In China, sentiment remained weak due to a sluggishdemand. The local China PVC prices fell Yuan100/mt over the past week, to Yuan5,700/mt (for ethylene-based volume) and Yuan5,600/mt (for carbide-based volume), April 17. On the other hand spot prices FOB China remained relatively stable. On April 17, ethylene based PVC was stable for the week at $705/mt, FOB China. Carbide based PVC fell $5/mt during the same time period to $695/mt. In India, sources on the market said that some buyers were willing to accept the price but not enough for the initial May sales quantity....
