Sources said that the CFR India PVC prices dropped to a 3-month low of $810/mt during the week ending August 14 due to low supply and low demand. The price fell below $830/mt after May 15 for the first time. They said that the buying was still sluggish, and the level of discussion continued to drop. Sources expect the downward trend in CFR India PVC prices to continue over the next few days, as market fundamentals remain weak. A trader stated that the new September import offers are likely to be released next week. Most market players expect sellers to take into account market weakness and lower price to $800 or below.
