Asian PVC: China's local PVC weakens after the holiday / Local China down Yuan 200 to 300/mt in a week / Fresh Nov Offer Forecast Mixed

Asian polyvinyl chloride was assessed to be stable from week to week at $760/mt, CFR China October 9. As Chinese market participants returned to work on October 8, there were few discussions about spot prices. CFR Southeast Asia PVC was stable at $760/mt for the same time period. After the Golden Week holiday, the domestic China market began strong on Oct. 8. This was fueled by the expectation of an additional stimulus package coming from the Chinese government. This strength faded however on October 9 when no new economic package was announced. China's PVC Futures fell as well, the most actively traded January Futures dropping Yuan 193/mt from day to day to Yuan 5,580/mt on Oct. 9 according to Dalian Commodity Exchange data.
