Asian PVC: Despite initial August offers, the range is still largely limited / Observed a muted response in the market to initial August offers / CFR India drops $9/mt in a week

After the initial offers were released for August, the Asian polyvinyl chloride prices ranged largely on the week of July 24, where "strong resistance" was reported by a South Korean source. At the Asian close on July 24, the CFR China PVC marker was up $5/mt from the previous week to $800/mt and the CFR Southeast Asia PVC marker was down $5/mt. Sources said that the initial offers for August differed from those of the previous month. CFR India's offer was down $70/mt to $910/mt. CFR China received an increase of $10/mt to $830/mt. CFR Southeast Asia received an increase up $40/mt to $875/mt. FOB Taiwan remained unchanged at $775/mt.
