The price of Asian polyvinylchloride has remained stable from week to week at $760/mt FOB China on Nov. 20. As suppliers have yet to announce their initial offers, there are few discussions about December arrival cargoes. Market sources say that fresh offers will be announced for December in the week from Nov 25-29. Sources said that the new offers would reflect a $10-$20/mt increase from November. This would reflect firmer container freight rates. On the other hand spot demand in China is seen to be limited due to the low PVC season. Some Asian suppliers felt that duties were unfairly imposed and tried to dialogue with India. India's Ministry of Commerce and Industry released a statement on October 30.
