Asian PVC: Rises $10-$35/mt amid high freight rates / China reaches highest level since Sep 2023 / Deep-sea supply to Asia is likely to increase

The CFR China PVC was $810/mt on June 5, a $10/mt increase from the previous week. This is the highest price since Sept. 20,2023 when it was assessed at $840/mt CFR China. CFR India PVC was $35/mt more expensive at $900/mt during the same period. This is the highest price since March 8,2023 when the price was $920/mt. Some market sources say it's becoming increasingly difficult to sell cargoes of Asian origin due to high freight rates. According to market sources, freight rates have risen, especially from Asia.
