Asian PVC: stable to $10/mt less on week due to low demand / Dec new offer lower $20/mt than Nov / Sentiment weaker due to low demand and expected capacity - Dec 02, 2024

After the initial offer was announced, Asian polyvinylchloride was assessed at $10/mt less than it had been in the previous week. CFR China PVC was down $10/mt on a week-on-week basis at $750/mt, while CFR Southeast Asia remained flat at $760/mt. Fresh offers for December had mixed results. According to sources, the CFR China fresh offer was $20/mt lower than a month ago, at $760/mt. CFR India, however, was $10/mt higher, at $810/mt. According to sources, the fresh offer on a CFR SE Asia was $15/mt lower than November's $790/mt. This is below the market expectations of a $10-$20/mt increase from November.
