As thin price discussions continued, EDC in
Asia remained stable from week to week. According to the latest data from customs, India's EDC
imports rose 45.5% in March compared to last month, but declined 8.6% compared
to the previous year, to 82.827 mt. VCM:
Asian vinyl monomer was rated stable from week to week, May 18. The Asian VCM market was in a bearish mood, which is
consistent with the falling polyvinylchloride market. CFR China PVC prices fell
by $10-15/mt per week and reached a new six-month low on May 18. The Asian VCM market was quiet in the lead-up to new PVC
