Asia PVC: Stable despite thin trade / Dalian PVC Futures Rise Yuan 34/mt in a Day / LG Chem to close Daesan PVC Plant in April for turnaround

The Asian PVC price remained stable during the week ending February 12, as participants waited for major producers to announce their offers by February 14. China's PVC Futures dropped slightly. The most actively traded May Futures were up Yuan 34/mt per day to Yuan 5,273/mt by Dalian Commodity Exchange on February 13. Sources said that in China, the weak real estate market continues to affect PVC consumption. Property investment is still not stable. Buyers were unwilling to buy, as inventories were high. The market participants in China waited for the National People's Congress and Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference sessions in March in order to receive macroeconomic stimulus.
