CFR China general-purpose polystyrene and high-impact PS prices stable week on week respectively at $1,250/mt and $1,345/mt on Aug. 28, amid stronger styrene values. The spread between CFR Southeast Asia and CFR China PS was unchanged at $20/mt, based on market indications heard in the $10-$20/mt range. Offers heard during the week were stable to lower, with those at the lower end of the range unchanged amid poor demand. "Offer is not much changed, but [there is] almost no deal," a seller said. Some market sources also said spot discussions have been limited due to volatile upstream prices. "High freight rates have made it difficult for us to sell PS to farther places.
